Huzzah. Fine article. Beyond linguistic vandalism, the changes are cultural vandalism. This is all meant to subvert and undermine the basic tenets of Western Civilization, one block at a time. However, pushback has arrived, and the walls will be rebuilt, stronger than ever. Never give up.

I was appalled then and I remain appalled now. The Harvard of the 2010s (I arrived in 09) had, both in the moment and in retrospect, something of a last hurrah atmosphere to it. We didn’t know the contours of the beast slouching toward Cambridge, but we could see the shadows gathering. It was golden, and then silvery ash.

This is an earnest and well argued article to reverse a change that was made in 2016, 4 years before Peak Woke. But this head-on approach may not be the most effective strategy.

The humorous style of the Babylon Bee might be more successful in bringing about change. A contest to come up with a more woke title to replace "Master's Degree" could generate wider discussion.

Well said. By Harvard’s reasoning they should immediately ban the term ‘Black Lives Matter’ given the many well-known terms in which "black" is associated with negativity. For example”

1. Blackguard – A scoundrel or dishonorable person.

2. Black dog – A metaphor for depression.

3. Blackmail – Extortion by threats, often involving the revelation of damaging information.

4. Blackball – To exclude or vote against someone in a secretive or unfair manner.

5. Blackout – A loss of consciousness or temporary loss of power.

6. Black market – Illegal trade of goods and services.

7. Black sheep – An outcast or disgrace within a group, especially a family.

8. Blacklisted – Being denied opportunities due to a bad reputation or political reasons.

9. Black mark – A stain on someone’s reputation.

10. Black magic – Malevolent or harmful supernatural practices.

11. Black hole (metaphorical use) – A place where things disappear without return, such as money in a bad investment.

12. Black-hearted – Cruel or wicked in nature.

13. Black humor – A type of humor that treats dark or tragic subjects with morbid amusement.
